Created in 2019 as a work sample to specifically apply to the FutureGames 3D Artist Program.
The weapon depicted is a VSK-94 with a PSO-1 scope, and a laser attachment.
There were a lot of ways this weapon could have looked texture wise. In the end
however I decided it was more fitting to have a weapon that was kinda used in its appearance.
But I didn't want it to be completely jaded. So I made the elements mixed with both old and
new. I made for instance the main weapon part and its scope, worn and used. While the laser
attachment and the magazine was much more pristine. This gave an immersive feeling that
the weapon was still in use, but had some of its parts replaced.
The polycount was around 28k for the entire thing, I was pretty generous since I wanted a lot of the round shapes to look good.
